Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimenez; 2 September 1966)[3][4][5] is a Mexican and American actor and film producer. Her professional career began in Mexico which she played in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991), and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) that brought her an Ariel Award nomination. She soon established herself in Hollywood through appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), and Dogma (1999). Hayek's performance as Frida, the painter, in Frida (2002), which she also wrote was what made Hayek the first Mexican actress to be awarded the Academy Award [6]. This also earned her an Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek appeared in the action-packed Once Upon a Time in Mexico films in the subsequent time and then devoted herself to producing.
