
While she didn't go home with an "American Idol" the title, Kellie Pickler was one of the show's best alumni. Kellie Pickler was born on June 28, 1986 to Cynthia Morton Pickler and Clyde Raymond Pickler in Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. She was just 16 when she got expecting her. Pickler experienced a challenging childhood because of her addiction to drugs and alcohol abuse, as her mother abandoned her at age two. Morton came back to take care for several years, but Pickler said that it was not going well. "I recall my mother and I were together living in the same room, when I told her that "I'd rather die than being in your presence. I would like God would remove me.' She pulled out a knife, set it on the counter, and then said"Here's what you need to do after that.' It was the fourth grade. She told me "Of course I would never ever have taken action about it. However, it caused me a number of emotional wounds." Pickler aged twelve years old, was given over to Morton's grandparents after the hearing. Pickler was brought up by her grandparents for the rest of her life. She has cited them as the primary influence in her life. The grandmother Faye Pickler died from lung cancer in the month of January, 2002. she was subsequently with her father. Pickler received her graduation diploma from the North Stanly in New London, North Carolina.
