Niykee is still writing songs despite having been part of the latest chaos. Niykee was selected to be part of her participation in YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. Being a magnet for producers, Niykee has a constant eye on beats sent to her. She finds that most of them spark new music ideas. Within 5 seconds, I can tell what a song is or not. Then I get an idea of an original song, and start writing it immediately. My guitar is on the porch, and I let the thoughts flow. Most of the time, it's done in less than thirty minutes. Niykee's pain from her past can be a constant source of motivation as she grows as a writer. Niykee says that, even when she is not writing about things that were actually taking place every ache due to her childhood and the losing her younger sister finds its way into music. The resulting music is shaped by my experiences and gives it a deeper significance, something I consider crucial. I'd like to be able to listen to my songs in 20 years and be proud of the things I've written.
